You can unlock your account by resetting your password. From the Meridian home page, select the “forgot your password” link from the sign in module, and follow the prompts to create a new password.

If you’re locked out of a mortgage application that you started online, please call the Contact Centre at 1-866-592-2226, and one of our representatives will unlock it for you.
If you have a desktop computer, a laptop, or a mobile device like a smartphone or tablet, you can bank digitally. To sign in, you’ll need your Member number and the temporary password provided when you opened your account. If you don’t have this information, please call our Contact Centre at 1-866-592-2226.

Our Members have told us that banking security is a top concern. With this in mind, we’ve introduced two-step authentication, an additional security feature for those who prefer to bank digitally.
Two-step authentication adds an extra layer of security to your accounts. It’s another way of keeping your accounts secure, even if your password is stolen.
With this feature, each time you sign in from an unknown device or location, you’ll be prompted to enter a security code. We’ll send you the code via text message or phone call, whichever method you prefer. This extra step in the sign in process authenticates you and further secures your digital banking credentials.
Protecting Members and keeping your accounts secure is a top priority for us. While it is optional, we strongly encourage you to enable this enhanced security feature.

If you’re traveling outside of Canada and need access to online or mobile banking while you’re away, there are a few things to know about two-step authentication.
If your registered device is set to airplane mode, or if you’re using a local SIM card, you may not be able to sign in using two-step authentication.
To avoid a service disruption, please do the following:
Prior to your departure, select the “Don’t ask me again for 60 days” box when signing in to online banking. If you use the same device while travelling (and provided travel does not extend beyond the 60-day window), you won’t need to reauthenticate while abroad.
If you miss the window or need assistance, please give us a call at 1-866-592-2226. The Contact Centre can temporarily disable two-step authentication and reinstate it for you upon your return.
If you’re going on vacation, you can call our Contact Centre at 1-866-592-2226, and advise us of your upcoming travel plans.
Meridian debit cardholders can sign in to online banking, and send us a secure message including the following details:

Important: each account holder should sign into their own online banking session to report details.

If you’re having trouble making a payment on your mortgage or loan, we’re here to help. We can tailor a solution to your individual circumstances, and one possible approach is skipping a payment. You can request to skip a payment online, through your mortgage or loan payment options, or by calling our Contact Centre at 1-866-592-2226.
You can pay off up to 20% more of your mortgage each year through a combination of prepaying more of your original principal balance and increasing your original mortgage payment.

Whether it’s a personal or business CRA account, you can use Interac® sign-in service for direct access using your everyday Meridian login credentials.
Step 1. Visit the CRA sign-in services web page and and click on “My Account”
Step 2. Scroll down to Option 1 box and click on “Sign-In Partner”
Step 3. Now on the Interac page for sign-in partners, click on the Meridian logo
Step 4. Enter your Meridian online sign-in credentials (personal or business accounts)

When you deposit a cheque through any method (i.e. at a branch, through an Automated Bank Machine (“ABM”), or via online mobile deposit capture), the funds from the cheque may not be immediately available. Meridian may place a hold on your cheque to until it clears.
