$100 FHSA incentive for Graduated NTC Members

Meridian Credit Union Limited (“Meridian”) is offering $100 cash bonus (“Cash Bonus”) from May 2, 2024 to July 31, 2024 to current Members who were enrolled under and completed the Newcomer to Canada program (“Graduated NTC Members”) to incentivize them to open a new First Home Saving Account (“FHSA”) (the “Offer”). 

The following terms and conditions shall apply to the Offer (“Terms and Conditions”). 

ELIGIBILITY 

The Offer is available to Graduated NTC Members:

  • Who have a Meridian chequing account in good standing; 
  • Who open a Meridian FHSA.  Eligible investments in the FHSA are the high interest saving account and a guaranteed investment certificate (“GIC”). 
  • Who open a Meridian FHSA in person with a Meridian employee at any Meridian branch.


CASH REFERRAL BONUS PAYOUT

The Cash Bonus is awarded on the following conditions:

  1. The Graduated NTC Member makes a deposit of at least $100 when opening the FHSA and underlying investment account (“Qualifying Deposit”)
  2. The Cash Bonus will be deposited by Meridian to any Meridian non-registered chequing account in good standing.  
  3. Meridian will deposit the Cash Bonus into the Graduated NTC Member’s Meridian non-registered chequing account on the date of the Qualifying Deposit (“Cash Bonus Deposit Date”).
  4. Meridian will place a hold on the Cash Bonus in the non-registered chequing account for sixty (60) days from the Cash Bonus Deposit Date.  After sixty (60) days, Meridian will remove the hold and the Cash Bonus will be available in the Graduated NTC Member’s non-registered chequing account. 


LIMITATIONS

  1. Except as may be set out in these Terms and Conditions, all terms and conditions applicable to products and services held with Meridian are not amended by these Terms and Conditions and continue to apply during and after the Offer period.
  2. This is a limited time offer. The Terms and Conditions, including the overall availability of the Offer, are subject to the absolute discretion of Meridian and may be changed at any time by Meridian without further notice to you. Meridian reserves the right to amend, withdraw or terminate the Offer at any time, without further notice. If Meridian amends the Terms and Conditions, Meridian will make available the updated Terms and Conditions in branch.
  3. The Offer is only available to FHSAs that are opened in person at any Meridian branch.
