What is voice authentication?
Voice authentication is like a special password that uses your voice to check if it's really you. Meridian's phone system listens to how you speak and validates that it's you when accessing your banking information through our Contact Centre.
We do this by creating a special recording of your voice (a voiceprint) that is unique to you. Every time you call our Contact Centre, our system checks to make sure your voice matches the recording on file.
What are the benefits?
With voice authentication, manual authentication questions are no longer needed. When you call our Contact Centre, our system will automatically validate that it's you. This quickens the process to talk to a live representative. All we need is your voice and a unique passphrase of your choosing.
More importantly, your voiceprint is uniquely you, which helps keep your banking information safe.
How will my information be used?
Your voiceprint will only be used to validate your identity over the phone. All personal information obtained by Meridian will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
You can withdraw from voice authentication any time by calling our Contact Centre at 1-866-592-2226.
How can I enroll?
Step 1: Call our Contact Centre at 1-866-592-2226. We’ll verify your identity and confirm your eligibility.
Step 2: Set up your voice authentication. We’ll guide you through the process. It’s as easy as speaking naturally.
Step 3: You’re all set. Once enrolled, your voice will be used for all future calls to quickly validate your identity.

- Point-of-sale limit: $1,000.00
- ABM withdrawal limit: $500.00

Option 1
Sign in to online banking or the Meridian mobile app and order a debit card under the Card Settings tab. This is what to expect:
- We’ll send you a debit card in the mail
- Shortly afterward, in a separate mailing, you’ll receive your temporary PIN
- You can change your PIN to something permanent at any ABM

Call the Contact Centre at 1-866-592-2226 and speak to one of our representatives. This is what to expect:

Visit a branch and we’ll give you a debit card and temporary PIN. You can update your PIN at the ABM immediately.
