This great new feature enables you to identify your accounts more easily by giving you the ability to rename or nickname them. This way you won’t need to remember each account by number.

The Branch and Contact Centre will also be able to view your nicknamed accounts, so you can refer to their new names to process transactions (deposits, transfers, bill payments, etc).

This feature is optional. You will not be prompted to take any action when you log in. If no action is taken, your account will continue to appear as it does today.

To rename your account, go to the “My Profile” tab in Online Banking and click “Rename Accounts”.

This enhancement gives you the ability to easily evaluate the buy/sell rates for leading international currencies, including Great British Pounds, Euros and U.S. Dollars.

This feature can still be found under the “Rates” page of Online Banking. Previously it only calculated to U.S. Dollars. British Pounds and Euros are new currencies that have been added.

'Double authentication' is a new feature being introduced to the login process of online banking to improve security and help guard against fraudulent scams, such as phishing.

You will be prompted to select a personalized image and three questions and answers when logging in online. These will be used to authenticate your identity later on at each subsequent login.

Since the images and questions/answers are personalized and unique to each Member, you can be certain that you are entering personal information into a legitimate site.

'Double authentication' has become increasingly common to online banking and is the new industry standard. Although our existing online banking platform is very secure, this improvement demonstrates our commitment to keeping your personal and financial information secure.

This feature is optional but will become mandatory in the near future.

Members with Credential Asset Management and Q-Trade holdings will now have a high-level overview of all their accounts through Online Banking.

Using only one login, you will be able to view a complete list of your total Meridian Credit Union holdings in the account summary section, which will include a quick snapshot of current balance, book value, market value, etc.

You can link your accounts under "My Profile" through the "Manage Account Plus" feature in online banking.

This new feature allows you to automatically pay pre-determined amounts to the same company at various frequencies throughout the year.

As a result, you won’t have to worry about recording past payments, or remembering future ones.

This new feature gives you the ability to add up to 100 accounts with the same company to facilitate payments through online, in-branch and telephone banking.

The bill payment search function has been expanded to include ALL past bill payments, regardless of whether they were paid online, in-branch, by telephone, or through the Contact Centre.
